One standards layer, product fields that change by category

The platform was designed around a single observation: every consumer-packaged good ships through the same standards layer, regardless of category. GS1 allocates a GTIN. The pack carries a 2D barcode. The retailer scans it at point-of-sale. The consumer scans it on a phone. What changes by industry is the data behind the code, the regulatory backdrop, and the operational realities of how packaging gets designed, printed and audited. The platform handles the standards layer once and surfaces industry-specific workflows on top.

Food and beverage brands carry the heaviest traceability load with FSMA 204 critical tracking events, EUDR origin evidence, allergen flags and recall pathways. Cosmetics consumers read ingredient lists more closely than almost any other category, so INCI notes, PAO, suitability and certification proof matter. Textiles need fiber content, care, repair and country-of-origin context. Furniture needs dimensions, assembly, materials, load rating and warranty. Electronics need model, power, safety, repair and end-of-life guidance. Manufacturers and packaging printers need production, artwork, substrate and print QA records. The app turns those differences into editable passport fields without changing the QR standard underneath.

Pick the industry closest to yours below and we'll show you which platform features matter most for that workflow, what the regulatory backdrop looks like, and what a realistic migration timeline looks like in practice.

Quick answers

Is the platform tied to one industry?
No. The standards layer (GS1 Digital Link, GTIN) is universal. The platform supports any consumer-packaged category that ships with a 2D barcode on pack.
Does it support pharma DataMatrix?
Not today. The platform exports QR codes carrying GS1 Digital Link URLs. Pharma serialization flows that depend on Data Matrix and EPCIS aren't in the current scope.
What about battery passports?
Batteries fall under the EU Battery Regulation, which has parallel data fields. The platform's structure aligns with ESPR-style passports for cosmetics, food and packaging today, with more categories on the roadmap.
