Identity

GS1 Digital Link QR generation

Every connected pack starts with product identity. The platform validates the GTIN, creates a GS1 Digital Link-ready URL, then turns that URL into a real QR code export for packaging artwork, review and live testing.

  • Mod-10 check digit validation on every GTIN
  • Resolver-style routing to your product record
  • Vector exports for packaging artwork (SVG, PDF)
  • High-resolution PNG up to 1200px for digital
  • QR settings for frame style, GTIN display and print review

Digital Product Passport

Public, mobile-first product pages

When a shopper scans, they land on a fast, branded scan page that resolves from the product's GTIN. The page is organized around Product, Proof and Engagement so brand teams can separate product facts, certificates, traceability, where-to-buy links and optional next steps.

  • Mobile product pages built from the saved SKU record
  • Product, Proof and Engagement sections for cleaner UX
  • Ingredients, materials, nutrition, specifications and care fields
  • Certifications, proof notes, recycling and resolver links
  • One stable URL for the lifetime of the GTIN

Traceability

Batch lookup, origin notes and public lot proof

Create product-linked batch records for the exact lot codes printed on pack. Public records can appear on /01/{gtin}/10/{batchCode} scan pages with expiry, origin, release notes, safety notices and certificate links.

  • Public or internal batch and lot records
  • Exact GS1 /10 batch-code matching
  • Best-before, expiry and printed-on-pack fields
  • Release notes, safety notices and origin summaries
  • Certificate and proof links by batch

Engagement

Product-connected scan actions

Attach optional next steps to product scan pages: stockist links, feedback, loyalty, giveaways or impact proof. Product-specific actions are shown first, while workspace-wide actions can cover the rest of the catalog.

  • Product-connected scan actions
  • Giveaways, loyalty, retail promos, impact proof and feedback
  • Product-specific or workspace-wide action scope
  • Consent-first form entries and CSV export
  • Layered above the public passport, not in front of it

Analytics

Scan intelligence with country, city, device and referrer

See what your packaging is actually doing in the world. Public scans are aggregated into a product-level analytics dashboard with date ranges, daily trends, product performance, geography, device context and export options on paid plans.

  • Country and city breakdowns per product
  • Device, browser and operating system splits
  • Referrer source where available
  • Date windows from today through longer trend ranges
  • CSV export for BI tools and reporting

Trust & Security

Standards compliance and operational hardening

A 2D barcode platform has to earn brand trust. The public scan pages are first-party, product data is workspace-scoped, uploads are validated, billing is plan-aware, and privacy controls are built into the operating workflow.

  • Strict Content-Security-Policy by default
  • Rate limits on auth, scan and QR endpoints
  • Magic-byte sniffing on every image upload
  • GDPR-compliant export and account deletion
  • Workspace isolation and plan-aware feature access

Why a platform, not a generator

A real product passport is more than a QR code

Generic QR tools were built for short links. The 2D barcode era is built for product identity, retail interoperability and structured passport data. Here is what changes when you graduate from a link to a platform.

Generic QR tools

  • Static QR pointing at a single URL
  • No GS1 Digital Link compliance
  • No retail point-of-sale capability
  • No batch lot or supply-chain layer
  • No structured product passport data
  • No first-party scan analytics
  • Generic landing pages with ad trackers

2D Barcode Hub

  • GS1 Digital Link URL with validated GTIN
  • One code for retail and consumer scanning
  • Structured passport aligned with EU ESPR
  • Batch lots, origin notes and certificate proof links
  • Country, city, device and referrer analytics
  • Product-connected scan actions and resolver links
  • EU data residency with first-party logging
Trust posture

Production hardening, not a marketing checkbox

Every public scan should feel calm and fast. That happens because of the work behind the page, not in front of it. Here is how the platform stays steady when scan volumes spike at retail launches.

Strict CSP

Tightened script and font origins on every public scan. Frame embedding blocked.

Rate limits

Per-IP throttles on auth, QR generation and scan ingestion to absorb traffic surges.

Magic-byte upload check

Image uploads validated by file signature, never trusting the browser-claimed MIME type.

EU data residency

Managed Postgres in Frankfurt with daily backups and named EU sub-processors only.

GDPR export and delete

One-click JSON export of every workspace record and a confirm-typed account deletion path.

Webhook idempotency

Billing and inbound integration events deduped at the database layer to prevent double-processing.

FAQ

Platform questions, answered

Is this a single platform or a suite of separate tools?
A single platform. One workspace, one product record, one 2D code. GS1 Digital Link URLs, product passport pages, batch records, resolver destinations, scan actions and analytics are all tied back to the same product record so brand teams are not stitching separate QR tools together.
How does this differ from a generic QR generator?
Generic generators produce a static QR with a URL inside it. We produce a GS1 Digital Link URL with a validated GTIN check digit, then resolve that URL on our side to a real product record, retail-ready data, and a structured public passport. The QR keeps working as your product evolves.
Do I need to learn GS1 to use it?
No. You bring the GS1-allocated GTIN and product details. The platform validates the check digit, formats the Digital Link URL, generates the QR code and keeps the product page connected to the same identifier.
Will the same code work at retail point-of-sale and on the consumer's phone?
Yes. That is the entire point of GS1 Digital Link. The 2D code carries the GTIN for retail scanning and resolves to your product page on a phone. One code, two purposes, one source of truth.
Where does my data live?
Your workspace data is stored on managed Postgres in the EU, with daily backups and EU-only sub-processors for hosting and email. You can export every record as JSON at any time, or delete the workspace and all associated data from the privacy controls in settings.
